Mixed Florals – Birthday Card

A sweet birthday card with flowers. I love the soft colors in this card.

Here’s what you need to create this card:

Measurements: 

• Petal Pink (card base):  8 ½” x 5 ½”; scored at 4 ¼
• Basic White (first layer): 5 ½” x 4 ¼”
• Boho Blue (second layer):  5 ½” x 4 ¼”
• Basic White (die-cut flowers): 5” x 3 ¾”
• Basic White (greeting): scrap
• Ribbon:  5” & 8”

Instructions:

1. Fold the Petal Pink card stock in half on the scoreline to form the card base.  
2. On the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, die cut out the large rectangle from the 5 ½” x
   4 1/4” piece of Basic White cardstock using the Textured Notes Dies.
3. Attach the Basic White rectangle to the front of the card.
4. On the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, die cut out a smaller rectangle from the Boho Blue cardstock using the Textured Notes Dies.
5. On the Boho Blue rectangle, stamp the rectangular text image from the Elements of Text stamp set with Boho Blue ink. Stamp the image several times on the left and right sides of the rectangle.
6. On the 5” x 3 ½” piece of Basic White stamp the tulips image with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.
7. Colour in the tulips image with the Stampin’ Blends markers.  Use the Light Balmy Blue marker to colour in the background and around the image.
8. On the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, cut out the stamped and coloured tulips with the matching Mixed Florals dies.
9. Attach the die-cut flowers to the Boho Blue rectangle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
10. Add some Wink of Stella to all of the flowers.
11. Wrap the smaller piece of ribbon around the bottom of the Boho Blue rectangle and secure it at the back.
12. Attach the Boho Blue rectangle to the front of the card.
13. Tie the remaining ribbon into a bow and attach it to the left side of the card with several Mini Glue Dots.
14. Stamp the greeting on a strip of Basic White cardstock with Boho Blue ink.
15. Use the Paper Snips Scissors to cut out the greeting and cut off the corners on the ends of the greeting.
16. Attach the greeting to the front of the card, tucked up under the ribbon with Mini Glue Dots.

Add three of the blue Tinsel Gems to the front of the card.
